Downloading music to your PSP may seem complex, especially if your are new to this device. However, this process is indeed a piece of cake provided that you follow a set of steps.
The first step you should do is to connect your PC correctly to the PSP via its USB cable. This cable can be purchased in your local computer shop and is around ten dollars. Make sure the plugs on both ends are inserted properly. Then, press the button that says Home in your PSP and using the arrow keys, access the menu item for settings, then to USB connection. Hit the X key located on your unit and wait until it displays "USB Connection."
After three to four seconds, your personal computer will notify you that it already has established connection with a new device and it will show you an E or an F hard drive. Click the appropriate letter for your unit, then create a file folder in it with the name "PSP." Inside this folder, make another folder named "Music." Within Music, you can copy your mp3s from your PC. After the files have been copied, hit the "O" key. Finally, to try out the files, scroll to music then select memory stick by pressing X. You will then view the songs you have previously copied.
